Aesthetic Fountains

Our fountains range from the ⅓ hp Matala floating fountain to our 25hp AquaMaster range.

Solar is available for the Air-O-Lator range, so the Centrifugal fountain and Carnival fountain. Visit the product pages for more info.

All of the fountains have lighting kits available at an additional price. Lighting kits are only available for mains powered fountains. This is because solar fountains only work during daylight hours so there is no point having lights.

We offer several non-aerating fountain ranges because different waterbodies require different fountain sizes, spray patterns and configurations.

Matala is suited to smaller ponds and water features where a compact, attractive fountain is required. Air-O-Lator Centrifugal provides a wider range of motor sizes and spray patterns for larger ponds, dams and lakes, with the added option of converting the system to aeration later. AquaMaster offers larger commercial fountain systems and a broad range of spray patterns for substantial lakes, developments, commercial properties and feature waterbodies.

Non-aerating fountains are ideal when the main goal is to create an attractive water feature.

They can add movement, sound and visual interest to dams, lakes, ponds, estates, gardens, commercial properties and other waterbodies. Different fountain designs and nozzles allow you to create everything from a simple, elegant spray to a large, highly visible water display.

They are also a good option where aesthetics are more important than aeration or where the waterbody already has an appropriate aeration system.

Non-aerating fountains should not be selected as a primary water-quality aeration system. Their main purpose is visual rather than oxygen transfer.

They do, however, move and circulate water. The amount of circulation and mixing depends on the fountain's size, flow rate, spray pattern and the waterbody itself.

If your primary concern is low dissolved oxygen, stratification, algae, odour or poor water quality, an appropriately sized aeration system should be considered instead.

For a non-aerating fountain, selection is primarily about the size of the waterbody and the visual effect you want to create.

We consider factors such as the size and shape of the waterbody, desired spray height and diameter, available power, viewing distance and preferred spray pattern.

Our range covers everything from smaller floating fountains through to large commercial fountain systems, allowing us to match the fountain to both the waterbody and the desired appearance.

For larger projects, we can help determine the appropriate motor, flow rate and nozzle configuration.

Power and control options vary between the different fountain ranges.

Matala Floating Fountains use mains power and are available with optional lighting.

Air-O-Lator Centrifugal Fountains are available in a range of mains-powered configurations, including 1-phase and 3-phase options, as well as solar-powered models. Control boxes, motor protection, timers and lighting options are available depending on the configuration.

AquaMaster Fountains are available in a range of configurations for different applications and fountain sizes, with control systems and lighting options available for selected models.

We can recommend the appropriate power and control configuration based on the fountain, location and available electrical supply.

Regular maintenance helps keep a fountain performing properly and maintaining its intended spray pattern.

Maintenance generally involves checking the pump or motor, intake, impeller, nozzle, float and electrical connections, and removing leaves, algae and other debris that may restrict water flow.

The required frequency depends on the waterbody. Fountains operating in water with significant plant material, algae or debris may require more frequent cleaning.

We can also supply replacement components and assist with servicing and maintenance where required.

Our non-aerating fountains are designed for long-term operation in outdoor water environments. The three ranges use different manufacturers and construction methods, so durability and warranty terms vary between models.

Air-O-Lator fountains and AquaMaster fountains are manufactured in the USA and use robust components designed for continuous operation. Matala fountains are manufactured in Taiwan, a nation also known for high-quality manufacturing.

Warranty varies by manufacturer and model, so we recommend checking the specific warranty applicable to the fountain you are considering.

Some can. The Air-O-Lator Centrifugal Fountain can be converted to an aerating fountain using a changeover kit. The kit replaces the impeller with a propeller, converting the fountain into an Air-O-Lator Carnival aerating fountain.

This provides flexibility if your priorities change and you later decide that you need both the visual effect of a fountain and increased aeration.

Other non-aerating models, including the Matala and AquaMaster ranges, are designed as decorative fountain systems rather than as convertible aeration systems. If aeration may be required in the future, we can help you select a system that provides the appropriate flexibility.

Yes, we do. This is typically for customers close to Melbourne but we do travel for project work. We may also be able to refer you to a local installer, if we know of one in your area. Please reference this in your enquiry and we can provide an idea of the cost. We also have installation videos for those who want to go it alone.
