Matala Geyser Hi-Flow Pump—Create a Waterfall or Stream From Your Dam
When you’re looking for large-scale water features like a huge waterfall, you need something with enough power to manage it.
We want to introduce you to the Matala Geyser Hi-Flow Pump range of pumps. They are absolute monsters! With these, you can have exactly the big, bold displays you’re looking for.
Built for Big, Bold Beauty
Pumps in the Matala Geyser Hi-Flow range are the pumps you want to use if you want a huge waterfall or a really long stream. But they’re not just good at waterfalls or big displays — you can even use them in dams where you want to create a nice, natural-looking stream.
They’re a great pump for that application; they’re extremely high-volume, versatile, and absolute monsters when it comes to moving water.
The Matala Geyser Range
This isn’t a one-size-fits-all range. You’ve got three in the range:
All three move a lot of water, and the best thing about them is that all three models run with a regular 10-amp, 3-pin plug. You can run them off normal mains power. You won’t need an electrician to come and install a 15-amp plug, and you still get these massive flow rates and volumes. You’d normally need three-phase power, but the Matala pumps are a unique pump.
You can fit them to a standard plumbing pipe, and if you don’t want to use the hose tail that comes with the unit, you can use a thermal overload with an auto-reset instead.
The Matala Geyser range is made in Taiwan. They’re high-quality, reliable units — not cheap, replaceable junk you find flooding the market these days.
The Matala Pump Defender
We recommend matching your Matala Geyser with one of the Matala Pump Defenders — that way, you won’t get the debris that will clog the opening in the pump at the bottom of the water. They’re designed to protect the pumps from leaf litter and debris, and by using one, you can reduce the time spent cleaning it out.
When You Want High Volume, Matala Delivers
When your design wants dramatic visuals, towering waterfalls, and a visual display, you can’t go wrong with the Matala Geyser range. The Geyser Hi-Flow is a really good pump when you want absolutely massive flow rates and huge waterfalls.
If you’re looking for an impressive water feature, this is a good way of getting it. It’s simple to fit, easy to run, and from a solid manufacturer with a reputation for quality.

"Since WQS installed the aerator, we've not had a single algae problem. In our smaller ponds that are too small for aerators we used Biostim pellets on their own and have noticed a huge reduction in algae.”
Andy Hart
“We had a nutrient-rich stormwater lake that was having continuous problems with algae. We were previously treating the nutrients with a liquid solution that would just end up getting flushed away with the outgoing water. Scott recommended we switch to Biostim pellets which were exactly what we needed.”
Giles Pickard
“Visiting ducks and our pet geese were continuously fouling the dam. WQS recommended a number of systems to improve the water quality. We are very happy with our final choice, the windmill aeration system. This combined with the Biostim pellets and liquid are cleaning up the dirty dam. Everything WQS said would happen has happened!”
Greg Lewis
“We had an urgent problem—our old irrigation system had blockages from weeds. Our dam was also riddled with black sludge. Scott recommended both aeration and biologicals and within six weeks the dam became so clear I could see to the bottom of it for the first time in years! I was chuffed that we could fix the issue without the use of chemicals.”
